I’ve consulted my various knitting books and the interwebs and have determined that he made up the term “yarn length”. Yarn length (if referenced at all) refers to the actual length of the entire strand than makes up a skein. As I thought before he’s referring to the number of rows. And I confirmed this by looking at Wikipedia’s picture of Fourth Doctor… Just in case anyone was confused. Glad I could be of assistance.
